PeeWee LL1: Mashups with Mooretown
Kimberley’s boys in blue returned to Mooretown on Friday evening for a tilt with the only team we have yet to beat.

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be, as the Orange Flags skated to a 5-2 Win, which looked to end our chances at a Championship berth. (More on that later). The game saw a lot of “fire” and a “pep talk” from the orange flags coach seemed to fuel the fire for our boys as they played like a team possessed in the latter half. Goals came from James and Graysen while assisted were given to Graysen and Ricky.

The prime time game on Saturday in Blenheim was an incredibly close matchup with the Black Flags from Mooretown. All of the boys showed up to finish the season strong and cement our spot in the final standings at a respectable 3rd place. Goals came from K-mart™, Rickey Bobby, the Miff, and Rambo. Assists were given to Carter, Colin, Liam, Rambo, Johnny, and Ryelly Hill. What an incredible spread of scoring. Isaac made a bunch of YUGE saves. Well done boys.

Trainer Mike used the pregame summits to train our boys on proper party etiquette to prepare them for the Anti-Formal “party at Miff’s” (Hell Ya!). Topics included: acceptable attire and accessories, conversation starters, eating habits and the correct disposal of unwanted refreshment containers.

“Were still in it??!!” – A quick look at the standings has Team 1 currently sitting in second, one point behind Dresden White in the round robin. (I am not sure why they call it a “round robin”.. what did Robin ever do to deserve such an odd term to be associated with her.. hopefully Trainer Mike can bring us up to speed on that..) Anyway, both teams have one game left. Dresden will play Mooretown Black and we will be playing the Wallaceburg Lakers. If by some chance Dresden White loses to Mooretown Black and we find a way to beat the Lakers we will actually be in a position to do no worse than 2nd place. Which would mean a best of 3 series with the assumed #1 team, Mooretown Orange Flags.

Our game vs. the Lakers is tonight in Ridgetown at 7:30PM. It could very well be the last game we play as “One Team”, I want everyone to know, win or lose I am incredibly proud of this group and the message in the dressing room after the game is going to be about all of the successes we have had this season as a family and that both Zach and I will always look back and remember this as being the very best season either of us has been a part of! Until then..

See ya at the Rink!
