South Kent Minor Hockey

Those U9 (born in 2016 or 2015) players that are no longer trying out for the U9 MD Team are welcome to attend either U8/U9 Skate Saturday.  Those skates will take place at the Blenheim Arena 8-9 am and 9-10 am Saturday morning. After we have a few of these skates, we will divide the players up into 4 teams.

This message if for U9 players who are not attending the U9 MD tryouts tonight (Wednesday September 20) in Ridgetown. If your child was born in 2015 or 2016 and they are not trying out for the U9 MD team, you are encouraged to attend a skate in Blenheim tonight from 5-6 pm.

Hi Everyone, Due to the high numbers of players trying out for the U9 MD Team, the tryout skate that was to happen Wednesday September 20th will now take place in Ridgetown and players will be grouped into either Group A or Group B. Coach Ramboer will post a list of names that will attend the Group A skate from 5-6:00 pm and a separate Group B that will skate from 6-7:00 pm in Ridgetown. He will post his list on the U9 MD Team page.

South Kent will be holding tryouts for a U9 MD (Rep/Travel) team starting Friday September 15th.  These tryouts will last just over one week.  A Tier 1 U9 MD Team will be selected at the end of this tryout process, and it will play in the Shamrock Tier 1 U9 League.  We will then form a Tier 2 U9 MD team with the next set of available players who attend the MD tryouts.  This Tier 2 team will play in the Shamrock Tier 2 U9 League. Head coach Jason Ramboer has independent evaluators coming to watch the tryout skates and these evaluators will be asked to rank players based on numerous criteria.
