PeeWee LL1: The End?
Kimberley’s boys in blue closed out the Championship round robin and our season with a game against the Wallaceburg Lakers.

The boys in blue took an early 2-0 lead however, some “interesting” moments in the game lead to Wallaceburg tying it up and having our possible game winning goal waived off in the final 3 minutes. The result was hard earned 2-2 tie and 1 point in the standings. That 1 point solidifies our position at 3rd place and keeps the door open to a possible tie for 2nd. Both goals were scored by Miff.

The pregame ceremony had Trainer Mike sacrifice a Hatchimal, no one is quite sure why, but he has his reasons. He followed that up with a lively dance number that included what could only be described as a mix of the Macarena, the Twist, the Tootsie roll and the Mashed Potato all wrapped into one glorious move. I don’t think I was able to get a wink of sleep last night.. I was scared to close my eyes and possibly re-live the moment.

On a more serious note, I want send a special thank you out to our incredible team sponsor, Kimberley’s Hearing Clinic. They not only sponsored our jerseys and lent their twins to us, they constantly offered to pay for parties and always looked for areas they could help to make the season more fun. It would mean a lot to me if you could make Kimberley’s Hearing Clinic your go-to for all of your hearing needs. It is a local business that puts customer care and community ahead of everything, something we are losing more and more of in today’s world.

Our next ice time is on Saturday March 10th at 2pm.  I hope to see as many of you out some fun on the ice. Until then…

See ya at the Rink,

Coach Scott
