PeeWee LL1: Git ‘er Done in Dresden
Kimberley’s Boys in Blue returned to Dresden for what could
be the last time this season to play the strong Dresden Maroon team.
Our boys opened the scoring 4 minutes into the game with 3 goals in 38 seconds. The second period saw the boys get a bit complacent, allowing Maroon to get within 1 goal. However the boys got it back together in the 3rd where we were able to add 2 insurance goals en-route to a 5-2 Victory. Goals came from K-Mart™, Colin, Ryelly Hill, The Miff, and Johnny Hockey. Assists went to Johnny Hockey (2), K-mart™, Carter, Graysen, and Owen. While they didn’t make and don’t typically make the score sheet, the un-relenting pressure of Ricky and Alex on the fore-check played a huge factor in the win, as usual.
The message in the dressing room centered around the 4 Pillars of Investing by William Bernstein. Trainer Mike took the lead and provided a multitude of lessons for building a winning portfolio. I know a lot of the boys really got something out of this session with quite a few “A-Ha” moments. As usual fun was had by most.
Our next game takes place back in Blenheim on Saturday at 5:40pm against Mooretown Orange, it will be our biggest test of the year. Until then…
