PeeWee LL1: Blood, Sweat and Tears
Kimberley’s boys in blue finished off the regular season
with a dramatic win against a very strong Petrolia Oilers squad.
The boys fought through all sorts of adversity, Ricky even had to be glued back together at one point. They did however end up with a decisive 4-1 win, cementing them into a spot in the Championship division of the playoffs. Goals of the game came from Zako, Colin, Johnny Hockey and Carter “Taco Bell” Gates. Assists went to Zako, Johnny Hockey, Grayson and James. Isaac made a few unbelievable saves, especially on a clear cut breakaway that I doubt many would be able to handle.
The energy in the room prior to the game was incredible. I am sure it had something to do with Trainer Mike choosing to sport a skin tight teal body suit, hot pink tights and fuzzy teal leg warmers. He came complete with an Olivia Newton John Soundtrack blaring “Let’s get Physical”. I was blown away with his ability to effectively execute the downward dog. Trainer Mike truly is a marvel to behold. His depth and range as a trainer has led some to speculate that he is not human.
Our next game has not yet been scheduled. I will let everyone know the deets after the schedule meeting. Until then,
