PeeWee LL1: Blast off in Blenheim
Kimberley’s boys in blue were at it again in an epic game vs a powerful Mooretown Black team. Our offensive zone pressure and puck possession was at a new level, cementing a 6-1 victory.

I think this was likely the best game our team has played this season. Goals were scored by James (3), Johnny Hockey (2), and Kmart™ (1). Assists went to Graysen, James, Johnny Hockey, Zacko, Colin and Kmart™.

The dressing room prior to the game was a more somber atmosphere as Trainer Mike ripped the band–aid off exposing the gruesome reality of what he has been covering up for a while now. Players and coaches alike were horrified to finally see, the effects of his past transgressions. He was obviously “cut” very deep, physically and emotionally. I couldn’t put my “finger” on it, but to see a man so “torn up” and “mangled” under all of those “layers” was life changing. One player mentioned how amazed he was that Trainer Mike was able to hold it together without letting it fester for so long. I am confident that as things finally get “aired out” he can truly start the “healing” process and move past this incident and find a common ground with carrots and working in the kitchen again.

Our final game of the regular season goes next Saturday at 5:40pm in Blenheim vs. the Petrolia Oilers in a battle for the very last spot in the Championship division of the Tri-County Local League.  It should be an amazing game. Until then..

See ya at the Rink,
