Saturday Night Fever with Kimberly’s PeeWee LL1
Kimberly’s boys in blue took to the ice on time this week in
Blenheim against a rather large and intimidating looking West Lorne Comets
team.
The boys had no problem finding the net this week as they deposited 7 goals and pretty well dominated every area of ice. The lone goal scored by the Comets was off of a deflection from one of our defencemen. Goals came from K-mart™ (2), Colin, James, Johnny Hockey, and Zacko. Helpers went to Johnny Hockey (2), Ryelly Hill (2), Alex, and K-mart™.
Instead of pregame speeches tonight, we opted to set up a family game night prior to the game. Setting up tables, chairs and a lounge singer in the dressing room proved to be a bit cumbersome, especially with all the hockey bags and Issac’s goalie pads, but we were able to squeeze it all in. A special thanks to Horatio Sanchez for running the tiki bar. Big winners on the night were Assistant Trainer “Ald”; who correctly guessed that Professor Plum did it in the conservatory with the lead pipe and to K-mart™ who successfully rolled 3 Yatzee’s in one game. Fun was had by all.
Our next game will be as part of the prestigious Mason Berube Memorial tournament in the rustic farming community of Dresden. We will be taking on Dresden White in our first tilt at high noon on Friday. Tickets are still available through the box office and ticketmaster®. Until then..
See ya at the Rink,
Coach Scott
