Snow Blizzard of '16
The Blenheim Chevy SK Lightning team had to ride snowmobiles, dog sleds and walk in Snowshoes friday night as they travelled through the Snow Blizzard to West Lorne.
With Coach Matt promising Gatorade for a solid team effort, Claire and the Boys delivered another defensively sound game and bottled flipped post game in the locker room. The keeper of the Meshed Mansion Isaac Johnston took home the worker of the Game Helmet after making a lot of saves early to keep his team in the game. Romano would opening the scoring 94 seconds into the game when he would back hand deke around the tender, Ryley and Golden Jersey Claire would pick up the assists. Jackson would score early in the 2nd with Squigs and Captain O'Dog picking up the helpers, Ryley would man handle is way through the offence zone and put the team up 3-1 with Jonny Hockey and Luke Skywalker picking up the helpers. The grind it out line was at it again in the corners when Dryden and Jacko set up Parker in the slot for a nice snipe. Jonny hockey would round out the 3rd with a nice pass from Ayden and Mano. Penalty killers went 2 for 3 on the night, Ayden would get his first of the season for tripping and Ryley would add 2 more to his total, 1 of the tripping nature the other for "Body Contact". Eric would complete the scoring in this one when he took a Nate pass in the middle and scored, Liam would pick up the other assist on the beauty breakout play. After winning 6-1 the team is excited to have Big Ben Bishop in the net for tomorrow's tilt against the visiting Wallaceburg Lakers, come cheer the team on and support the 50/50 fund to help these Athletes out for a year end party, puck drop 530pm in Blenheim
