The SK2 Blenheim Chev Atom team finished 2nd in the playdowns to advance to a best of 3 series against Mooretown White.
The Keepers of the Meshed Mansion played solid during an 8 game playdown series. Isaac Johnston and Ben Ellis did a great job in the net helping the SK Blenheim Chev team post a record of 4-2-2 for 10 points and an opportunity to play a best of 3 series against Mooretown White for the Tri County Championship Atom Division.
In front of the keepers the defence played solid as well, between Claire, Squigs, Liam and Owen they all managed to help tidy up the front of the net and minimize zone pressure time with quick breakout plays to set our forwards up while keeping pressure on the other team.
The forward group has come a long ways, between the fore check, passing and cycling this group has had a great season with Ryley, Jacko and Mano setting up the middle of the ice, wingers Nate, Parker, Jonny, Luke, Ayden and AP Dryden have benefited with lots of shots resulting in every forward finding the back of the twine.
The group gets ready to take on Mooretown White, which is sure to be an exciting best of 3 series, with Mooretown winning 10-9 and 9-8 during regular season and then 5-3 and a 4-4 tie in the playdowns, these 2 teams are sure to give the fans their money worth.
