The Southkent Blenheim Chev team bounced back from a tough 5-4 loss to SK1 with a nice and tidy team played 6-1 victory
After a scoreless first period Jonny Hockey would get things going with Luke Skywalker and Romano picking up the helpers to put the away team up 1-0. Moments later Jacko would tuck in a goal with Romano grabbing the lone helper. To finish the scoring in the 2nd period Golden Jersey Luke Vanheule would score his 2nd goal of the season, jonny hockey and Jacko would pick up the helpers and take a 3-0 lead into the 3rd period. Jonny Hockey would score half way through the period with Parker and Worker of the Game Nate picking up the helpers, Romano would put the club up 5-0 when he converted a nice passing play by Ryley and Nate. Romano would finish the scoring in the 3rd with Jacko feeding him in on a breakaway. The defence played a much better game keeping the opponents to the outside, Claire and Squigs helped kill 4 man advantages with their active sticks and hustle all game long. Liam and Captain O'Dog manned the point on the power play and kept the pressure on when needed. Ayden found his way to the penalty box again in this contest, but played one of his best games in the slot all season getting off 3 shots. Isaac played another solid game in net and kept his team in the game early on with a few huge stick saves. The group looks to finish up the regular season with a game against West Lorne on Saturday at noon and a 5pm tilt on Sunday against the LL3 team.
