Much better team Game in Period 2 and 3
The South Kent Blenheim Chevy team started their first period like they ended the last game. In the penalty box and trailing on the score board.
Captain O' Dog and Big Ben were not able to participate in this Friday night contest against the Postma South Kent Lightning 3 team. Isaac Johnston was the keeper of the Ice Igloo tonight and played a solid game from puck drop in the first. The team would take some questionable penalties in the first period and in general looked like a team that was thinking of Sugar Plums and Christmas presents. Jacko would go strong on the puck in the corner and fight off the big defencemen from Team 3 and set Jonny Hockey up for a beauty goal to get it going in the second period. Liam would pick up the other assist. Romano would tie the game up in the 3rd period when he tok a Nate pass up the middle, Birthday Boy Parks would get the other assist. 3 minutes later Jeromel would score with Dryden and Kalp picking up the helpers, Jonny Hockey would score his 2nd of the night with Squigs and Claire "worker of the Game" Risdale picking up the helpers. Romano would complete the scoring in this one with Parker and Jacko picking up the helpers. Final score was 5-2 for your South Kent Blenheim Chevy team. Ryley and Liam continued their penalty stats with 2 minors each. Ayden and Luke Skywalker played a solid game and Ayden even had a onetimer in the slot as he looked for his first of the season.
The team played a great 2nd and 3rd period and enjoyed some birthday cupcakes in the locker room post game. The team would like to say "Merry Christmas, Ya Filthy Animal,..... And a Happy New Year too
