Atom Home Run take the win against West Lorne
The Atom Home Run team in yellow was thrown a curve ball to start as they were forced into a jersey change. Thanks to the Novice LL team, the Atoms were able to rep the white jerseys and continued the Novice unbeaten streak as they won 3-1.
West Lorne showed up ready to play in their yellow jersey's and were ready as soon as the puck dropped. This was a much improved team that travelled to Blenheim, but Southkent was ready and matched the visitors intensity.
Laurel Johnston got the home team on the board in the first as she pounced on a rebound off a James Larsh shot. This lead was short lived as West Lorne answered less than 30 seconds later.
Southkent scored two quick goals early in the second and this lead held up for the rest of the game. James Larsh and Brennen Dodman were the goal scorers.
West Lorne played a quick, aggressive game but Southkent matched their play as this was the roughest game for Southkent so far.
Evan White was solid in net and made many key saves to earn the win.
