South Kent Minor Hockey

We will hold our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 22nd.  Location details will follow shortly. We are presently looking for someone to fill the role of treasurer and someone to intern Don D. as the Shamrock or travel representative.  Important roles are also available for areas such as fundraising, 50/50, equipment and sponsorship.   The success of South Kent Minor Hockey depends on the efforts of many volunteers.  Hockey experience is not a prerequisite to join the Board.  Please contact me if you are interested.

Why come to South Kent? Why be part of the Lightning? It’s a question I have been asked by a few parents over the last couple of months.  After some thought and various conversations, I think I can sum it up by simply saying:  “Because hockey matters in South Kent”

We will be hosting our Checking Clinic Wednesday April 30th from 8-10 pm at Thames Campus.  There will be a one hour in class component from 7:45-8:45 pm followed by the on ice session.   All players who have not been rostered on a team with body contact before must attend this clinic in order to tryout.  Therefore, if you were not rostered on the U15 B team last year, you must attend. Good Evening, With spring tryouts changing the way we operate our Rep teams, we are able to work towards naming B2 (2nd entry) and Local League earlier this year. If you are interested in coaching a B2 or Local League team, please email me directly.  Note we are approved for a U11 and U18 B2 team presently.
