THIRD GAME IN FIVE NIGHTS
October 27th marked the first meeting of the year between the Southwest Bullets and Kimberly Hearing Lightning. The Lightning were playing the second game of a back to back and their third game in five nights while the Bullets had just come off six days rest having defeated Wallaceburg  11-2 on Oct 21st.

Southwest elected to start goalie Joel DeLancey with a respectable 3.00 GAA against Lightning goalie Lucas Vidler with a 2.29 GAA. The Bullets jumped out to an early lead when #11 Ryan Smith made a highlight real play to #17  Ryder Sorka 1:49 seconds into the game.  Then with 3:12 left on the clock #17 Eric Romano stripped the puck from a Bullets winger near centre Ice and then split their defense as he scored the only goal the Lightning could muster in the first. The Bullets took the lead right back in the first minute of the second period when Bullets forward  Ethan DeWild banged in a rebound from Tyler Dumont and Johnathan Kemp.  It seemed like the Lightning started to find their legs by the 10:00 minute mark of the second as Jacob Hamilton and Brady Pook scored two unassisted goals to take the lead.  At 7:34 Bullets Johnathan Kemp  was sent off for Hooking, giving the Lightning a 2 minute power-play.  Defense partners Josh Flemington and Ryelly Hill manned the point while Eric Romano centered Jacob Hamilton and Ayden Larkin on the first power-play unit. It wasn’t hard to figure out what the offensive plan was because right off the faceoff the puck was sent back to Josh Flemington were he made a beautiful pass along the blue line to Ryelly Hill who one-timed a slapshot that just missed the right post. Five times in 23 seconds Ryelly was setup for a one-timer, and on the fifth chance Jacob Hamilton got a stick on the shot, tipping it passed the shocked Bullets goaltender.  Camden Blackburn scored at the 5:52 mark from Brady Pook and the Lightning went into the third period with a commanding 5-2 lead. In the Third, Lightning Eric Romano and Jacob Hamilton scored while Josh Flemington and Ayden Larkin were credited with assists.   The Southwest Bullets added a third goal in the last minute of the game rounding out the scoring with the Lightning winning 7-3.
The Coaches elected Defensive Player of the Game as #5 Josh Flemington and Offensive Player of the Game as #7 Sam Knowler.
