Peewee's begin tri-county playoffs with a win
The Kimberly's Hearing Clinic Southkent Lightning Peewees begin the tri-county playoffs with a close game, earning the 3-2 win over the Southwest Peewees.

The Southkent Peewee LL team started the Tri-county playoffs with a big 3-2 win over the Southwest Bullets.
The Kimberly hearing clinic boys finished the season with a couple of tough losses but put that behind them as the team played a solid team game.  Evan White earned the win as he made several key saves to keep the game close.  Southwest got on the board early in the second with a power play goal.  Southkent evened the score with 5 mins left in the period on an unassisted goal from the captain, Cash Palmateer.
The Lightning struck again just over a minute later when Josh Wolf finished a great passing play from Nicholas Brown and Dylan DeBrouwer.
Southwest tied the game early in the third and the game seemed destined to end in a tie due to the close checking but Josh Wolf had other plans as he scored his second of the game, assisted by Cash and Jake Legue.
The defence held tight, led by Brennen Dodman, Jesse Watson and Ethan McClenaghan as they kept the puck out of their end to seal the win for the Kimberly's hearing clinic squad.
Next game Jan 30 in Blenheim against Dresden at 6:50 pm.
