October 10 Game Recap
The Novice Rep Lightning faced off against the St. Mary's Rock on Saturday afternoon at the Blenheim Arena.
South Kent had a strong first period working hard and using good teamwork, but could not solve the St. Mary's goaltender. Late in the first the Rock scored on a high shot to take a 1-0 lead. The second period saw the teams trading chances at both ends of the rink with the Rock again being the team to find the back of the net taking a 2-0 lead into the third period. Early in the third period the Lightning had multiple scoring chances from Paiton Desangher, Morgan Paine, Ali Altiman, Aiden Campbell and others, but the St. Mary's goaltender and defence proved to be too strong. The Rock added 2 third period goals for a 4-0 shutout victory. Lightning player of the game honours went to forward Paiton Desangher.
