Great Tournament Team!

A very exciting A division championship game ended in a hard fought 3-1 loss to Lambeth, but we played like champions and we are very proud of everyone and the effort they put in. It was a extremely hard road to get there with a semi-final 1-0 win over Amherstburg(A) who were left stunned after being hit by Lightning in a high intensity barn burner. It was sweet revenge after an earlier 6-3 loss the previous day. Other games included a 4-0 win over St Thomas(A), a 5-3 win over Erie North Shore(A) and a 1-1 cliff hanger with Kincardine. Great team effort!

Congratulations to the SouthKent Lightning U11 Rep Team Lucas Owen, Gavin Lumley, Tanner Laczo, Zander Foulis, Xavier Wilmer, Cohen Deschryver, Ryker Schaafsma, Evan O'Rourke, Kate Knotek, Ostin Osbourne, Alex Crow, Kasey Holmes, Kinley Anderson, William VandenHengel Good job in today's exhibition win over Dresden in our first test as a team, it was a great group effort. The team would like to thank Blaine Knight in his first appearance in his role as an AP with our team and look forward him joining us for more games this season.

Thanks to everyone who tried out for our team, it takes courage to try something when you know many will end up disappointed. Hold your heads high the level of play impressed the coaches and I know your LL teams have some good players coming their way and i expect you will continue to work hard and have a successful season.  Tryouts have been progressing well and the coaches have been impressed with the effort and skills that have been displayed. Decisions will be tough for the final roster but in the end there are only so many spots. Both parents and players should be proud! All of these kids did their best and this is a very tough team to make with so many good players trying out. No one should be discouraged if they don't make the final roster but instead work hard to improve themselves and their respective teams over the season.   After tomorrow's tryout the players continuing on and Sunday's line up will ...
