The South Kent Lightning Bantam Reps are celebrating back to back home game wins this weekend as they faced Ilderton Jets on Friday, November 22nd and North Middlesex Jr Stars on Sunday, November 24th.
In Friday's game, the first period was blanked but action picked up in the second as Braydon Segeren and Kolby Caughy both scored for the Lightning, both assisted by Cory Beecroft. With 2 minutes left in the 2nd, Ilderton scored. In the last 1 1/2 minutes in the game, Brett Davidson put away the final goal, assisted by Ethan Gagnier and Segeren. Final score was 3-1 in favour of the Lightning.
Sunday's game was similar as South Kent again scored three goals on North Middlesex Jr Stars. Scoring for the Lightning was Segeren, Cam Wellington and Quinn Pickering. Wellington also got two assists and Pickering earned one. Other assists go to Ethan Gagnier, Jamie Pynenbrouck and Derek Schieman. Daniel Rodger earned the shutout.
This weekend, the Bantam Reps (sponsored by Taco Bell) will be attending the Art Coombs Memorial Tournament in Paris, ON. This pair of wins brings the Lightning's record to 5-5-4 on the Regular season.
