The SK Lightning 3 invited the Petrolia Oilers into their Blenheim Barn on saturday for a lunch time dust up.
Another great game was played by both teams, however Daniel Rodgers would protect his house as the Lightning would help him out scoring 7 goals in this exciting 7-4 victory. Jack Tinline would opening the scoring as he took a nice pass from Liam Davies and went stick side on the Oiler tender, Cooper Minnie would also draw an assist on the play. Aidan Barnes, Eric Romano and Jackson Kalp would cycle the puck down low with Kalp sniping a bar down goal. Carsen Sipple and Carter Barnes would setup Jack again where he would snipe his second of the game. End of first period home team up 3-2. The second period was much like the first, excellent first passes from Conner Lackie and Trenton DeCook out of their zone where Carson Sipple and Carter Barnes would hook up with Tinline again for the hatty. Six minutes later Carter Barnes would be sent in on a breakaway and score a highlight beauty. After period 2 home team up 5-2. The Oilers would battle back in the 3rd but the checking line of Jacob Hamilton, Aidan"Worker of the Game" Osborne and Devin Lackie were able to use their size and slow the game down after the first 5 minute, the Oilers would score 2 quick ones at the beginning of the 3rd. Kalp would dig the puck out of the corner and hit Sipple who also shot the twine. 12 seconds later Carter Barnes would hit Tinline with a cross crease pass and the final goal of the game would go in.
