South Kent 3 vs South Kent 2
For the first time this season LL3 played against their practice partners in a thrilling 7-3 loss.
The tone was set early that offense was going to win as SK2 would score 6 seconds into the game. Trailing 2-0 with just under 2 minutes left in the first period Trenton DeCook would clear the zone as Aidan Osborne would take the puck over the blue line before Aiden Barnes would bury his first of the season. Score after the first was 2-1 in favor of the visitors. Second period was heavy action on both sides of the puck, Conner Lackie and Cooper Minnie had a great game helping Daniel "Worker of the Game" Rodgers keep the puck out of the back of our net, Jacob Hamilton, Carter Barnes and Ashton Clark had another solid game in the visitors end, the goal light is going to be flashing a lot if they keep their dominant performance up. The Home team would trail 4-1 heading into the final frame. Jack Tinline and Aidan Barnes would work their magic and setup a one timer blast for Carsen Sipple in the slot to cut the score to 6-2 about 4 minutes into the 3rd period. The team would play short handed as Jackson Kalp would take a body Checking penalty. Devin Lackie was a huge help on the penalty kill as he won a few faceoffs and the team was able to clear the puck down the ice. The final scoring play of the night saw Jackson Kalp and Aidan Barnes setup Eric Romano in the slot for a nice fore hand, back hand snipe, glove side bar down. Final score was 7-3
