Much Better Team Defence
A Saturday afternoon tilt with the visiting Lakers is what went down in Blenheim.
The team showed tremendous improvement from the 9-1 loss against the Lakers last month, Daniel Rodgers saw a lot of pucks and did a great job putting the rebounds into the corners. Ashton Clark, Cooper Minnie, Trenton DeCook, Conner Lackie and Liam Davies played a solid positional game in front of Rodgers and helped get the puck up the boards to our forward group. Aidan Osborne, Carter Barnes and Jacob Hamilton had another solid game creating a lot of buzz in front of the Lakers tender. Eric Romano, Jack Tinline and Jackson Kalp cycled the puck down low again and forced the Lakers tender to make a lot of difficult saves. Devin Lackie and Carsen Sipple played well in our zone and transitioned the puck up the ice very effectively, Aidan "Worker of the Game" Barnes would come the closest to breaking the shutout as he dinged the cross bar on a high heater. Home team dropped this one 5-0.
