Another Tough Loss on Home Ice
With the Mooretown White Flags travelling to Blenheim to play the Atom3 team the fans got their moneys worth.

Jackson Kalp was the keeper of the Chromed Twine Cage as he played a solid game in net for the South Kent team. With 7 seconds left in the first period and the team trailing 2-0 Carter Barnes would slide the puck over to Jack Tinline who would score on a beauty breakaway. Liam Davies and Cooper Minnie had another solid game patrolling the blue line. Jacob Hamilton had the puck all alone and forced the Flags tender to come up with a huge stick save as he tried tucking it in short side. Conner Lackie and Trenton DeCook worked hard on their defensive positioning all game and helped get the puck out of the zone onto Aidan Barnes and Carter Ashton's stick where they would cycle the puck down low in the Flags Zone. Half way through the 2nd period Jack "Sniper" Tinline would put the team even at 2 heading into the 3rd period. The Lightning would trail 3-2 until about 6 minutes in when Eric Romano would cycle the puck  down low and Jack Tinline would convert on the nice passing play. With Aidan Osborne and Carsen Sipple flying out of the zone Daniel Rodger would pick the puck up and Toe drag like no other goalie had done before. Worker of the Game hat went to Devin Lackie who has shown great growth on the ice and carried the puck several times through the neutral zone. A missed clearing attempt in front of our keeper resulted in the Flags going ahead 4-3. With the game about to be curfew'd the coaching staff would pull the tender, as the buzzer would sound to end the game the puck would cross the South Kent goal line resulting in  a heart breaking 5-3 loss. The team gets set to head out on Monday as they travel to Petrolia to play against the 2-6-1 Oilers. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:20pm.
