Regular Season Wrap Up.
TEAM 1 closed out the regular season tonight vs. a determined team 2.

Both teams came out with a ton of energy making impressive plays on both ends of the rink. Goals for TEAM 1 tonight came from Colin (2), Jamie (2) and Robert (1) and assists went to Zach (2), James (1) and Parker (1) in a 5-4 win. Pooker made some big saves tonight for his second win in two games to end his run as the TEAM 1 Goalie (2-1-1). 1 remarkable play tonight that doesn’t show up on the game sheet is the incredible stretch passes through legs and traffic that Robert has made in the past few games. The one tonight was in my mind one of the best passes I have seen all season from any team. He was skating out of his zone, just over our blue line and fired a high velocity pass through at least 2 of their players and one of ours to find (I think a wide open Parker) just as he was skating into the other teams zone on the opposite side of the ice. It was a thing of beauty, well done Robert.

As for milestone watch James Mifflin, Parker Collins, Brady Pook, Colin Day and Jamie Pynenbrouck all were able to play every game of the regular season. It takes incredible dedication by both the players and their parents along with some luck avoiding injury, illness and vacation to accomplish this feat. Next up is the 50 goal man, the ability to find the back of the net 50 times in 22 games is nothing short of incredible, while his passing game continues to be a work in progress there is no doubt Jamie is a born goal scorer. Congratulations to all 5 of you on these incredible accomplishments.

We finished the season with 16-5-1 record (2nd in the league) we had 102 goals for (4th in the league) and 56 goals against (2nd in the league) with 7 regular season shutouts (1st in the league)

The playoffs start up next week, the schedule has not been set yet, we are in the championship division along with Dresden, West Lorne Black, South Kent 2, Wallaceburg 1 and 2. Stay tuned to the website for our schedule. I am really looking forward to getting back on the ice with these boys for what will be our first practice in almost a month. Until then..

See ya at the Rink,

Coach Scott
