Team ONE took on LL3 tonight, some nice passing combined
with a few lucky bounces saw us skate away with a 6-0 win.
The plan tonight was to do a whole lot of stuff that was out of the norm. The players were challenged trying new things to close out the last few games of the season. Almost every player played multiple positions tonight, it was getting so crazy that the coaches lost track of who was playing what position. The first goal of the game was scored 30 seconds into the game on a net-front scrum that was awarded to Zacko. The second goal came less than a minute later where Zach made a pass to a perfectly positioned Alex to allow him to bury a sweet one timer. The third goal was exactly what I have been asking the entire team to show me. Isaac fed Robert on the point for a heavy shot, the puck bounced around off of a few players and found the waiting stick if JP for him to fire in a quick release. The fourth goal had Rambo find a streaking Pooker (that sounds a lot worse than it is) who went in on a partial breakaway. JP finished the scoring with 2 more to complete his hat trick, Ricky would get the assist on the last one. The incredible back checking today by the entire team helped to get Brady his 8th Shutout of the season. Speaking of Brady, his reward for bailing out the team time after time is a first class ticket to a forward position vs. The Black Comets of West Lorne. Pooker will be assuming the goaltending responsibilities to close out the season.
