Early Bird Pricing is Almost Over!
Early Bird Registration is almost over and the ice is already in the Blenheim arena. We need to know if you want to play hockey this year so please register soon. Here is a reminder of the reasons why we need you to register ASAP.Please read on below...
1) Limited ice availability. SKMHA is not the only organization that uses the Blenheim and Ridgetown arenas. We have to bid against other organizations for ice time and we have to do that starting in May. So…the earlier we know how many kids are signing up for minor hockey with us, the easier it is for us to create a favourable ice schedule. It’s almost impossible to go back to the Municipality in October, if you decide to sign up late, and get more ice time in desirable time slots.
2) Team planning. We need to order jerseys, supplies, line up coaches etc. and all these tasks take time. Many people work behind the scenes to get the season up and going so the earlier we know numbers, the smoother the season starts up.
3) League planning. We have already had to let the OMHA know our initial estimate of teams (even before registration opened). So, if our numbers continue to grow (like they did last year), we would like to be able to revise our estimates so that our league partners can be prepared from a game schedule perspective. We want to welcome as many people as possible to play in South Kent so let us know as soon as you can by registering with us!
