SKMHA Season Ending
The SKMHA Board regrettably announces that the 2020-21 Lightning hockey season will be ending after Sunday’s ice times due to today’s announcement from the Provincial Government that Chatham-Kent will move into the Red-Control Zone on Monday.

The move to Red-Control would again mean that no games or scrimmages could be played, and practices would be limited to 10 players on the ice.

While we did have practices for 9 days in February under those circumstances, it is felt that an extended period with
those limitations in place is very possible, and therefore it would not be feasible, nor very desirable for our association to continue to operate this season.

The SKMHA Board will meet in the coming days to create a plan for refunding a portion of the registration fees paid for the final session of the season.

SKMHA thanks parents and players for their support through this difficult season.
