SKMHA Return to Play!
Hockey is back! SKMHA will return to the ice as early as Saturday Feb. 20.
At this time Chatham-Kent is in a Red Zone for Covid-19 so hockey will be limited to practice only, with 10 players on the ice. There are no games or scrimmages while we are in a Red Zone. We are hopeful that Chatham-Kent will progress to an Orange or better zone on March 2. If that happens we will be able to resume games and scrimmages.
We are hoping to use the ice times from Feb 20- March 1 to get the players ready for potential game play, should
Chatham-Kent move into a Covid restriction level that allows hockey games. We currently have ice booked until the end of March. We are trying to get that extended to the end of April, but there is no guarantee that a longer session is possible.
Your coach will be reaching out to you in the next day or so to find out which players are planning to resume the season. Please respond to your coach ASAP, so we can organize teams and ice times as required. Those players who are not going to resume play will be able to receive a refund for the final session.
Thanks!
