Select Program Tryouts Announced
SKMHA will be running tryouts in the next week or so for both the Novice and Peewee divisions in order to determine whether there is enough interest and talent to run select programs.
Applications have been received and forwarded appropriately.
A note for all parent's of out of area players:
To play select in our center a player must have been in our program for two complete years as per OMHA regulations. (i.e. this should be their 3rd year in our program)
Tryout will be held for the Peewee Division:
Sunday Nov 5th @ 2:30 pm in Ridgetown.
The Novice Division Tryout is CONFIRMED! for this
Sunday Oct 29th @ 4:00 pm in Ridgetown. (CONFIRMED!)
Once tryouts are complete a final decision will be made on whether to run a program in one or both divisions.
If the program moves ahead then fees,rosters and schedules will be determined and coaches announced.
Select Program Backgrounder:
A Select team is a team made of LL players. The player is officially rostered to the Select team . The select team then practices and plays exhibition and tournament games together. A Select team players first priority is always to his LL team. Any scheduling conflicts will always be resolved in favour of the LL league squad. The intention is to provide local league players who are selected with another opportunity to develop their skills in support of our rep programs. Typically, because the squad is selected last, ice times are not normally in a set ice slot but may vary as ice time becomes available.
