Tournaments and Rooms

Our first two tournament dates are now posted on our calendar; actual game times will come much closer to the dates. There is also a year end tournament we will enter, date and location should come out in November, I believe. Tournament fees have been submitted, but I will hold off collecting fees as there are rumors of some sponsorship.

We have secured a block of rooms at the Lamplighter in London for our St. Thomas tourney. Although this is close enough to drive back and forth, I do encourage everyone to stay if they can. The kids will have a blast and the parents might as well.

The link to the booking is below. The deadline to book is November 10th.

Rules and Expectations

Just a reminder that we have implemented a few rules.

We ask that players get to the rink an hour before games to go through warm up etc. Completely understand that sometimes life gets in the way, but please do your best.

We also ask that players wear the South Kent Lightning track suit/or coat to away games. If you do not have one, they will be at the arena this weekend to order. If you need assistance at all with getting one, please just ask and we will find a way to help.

We ask that the players wear "dress" clothes ex. shirt and tie to home games. Although, it is sometimes difficult to do, we ask that everyone does their best to follow these rules.

Volunteer and Fundraising

Our team includes our parents and we are happy to have the help of all members. Some help on the ice and others can contribute in other ways, ex. fundraising or hosting/organizing a team event.

If anyone has any ideas on how they may be able to help, please let me know.

Hockey is an expensive sport and fundraising can sometimes help. If anyone, has ideas or resources please let me know and we will get working on it.

Thanks

Jason
