Update:

Penalties - We have seen a slight rise in the amount of penalties that our team has been taking as of late. All of coaches will continue to address that specific issue to ensure that the best interest of our team is always at the forefront of our athletes mind when playing. We will continue to coach these athletes what is an acceptable amount of contact and aggression to be used in game situations and then further show them what typically catches the referees attention and draws penalties. We hope that this type of messaging is being reinforced at home by the parents as well to ensure the messaging is consistent. In the unfortunate event that we have an athlete that continues to deviate from the best interest of our team as a whole, they will be introduced to some progressive corrective action (sitting out of game time etc.).

Positions - We are moving some players around from their traditional positions which they have been playing for the last few weeks. We have a tournament this weekend and very shortly thereafter playoff hockey. We are looking to see if we might be able to capitalize on some slight line changes. We appreciate the support of both the players and the parents during these changes and the associated assessments. This will continue for the next few games after which we hope to solidify positions and lines for the remainder of the season and into playoffs.

In speaking with all of the coaches we are very pleased to see some of the plays that we have been practicing begin to surface and work in game situations. We will continued to build on these and other fundamentals to ensure our athletes are developing and improving.

As always - if you have any concerns or questions, never hesitate to ask.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Regards,
Coach Albert
