Rise Up Cup - Consolation Champions!
Good afternoon everyone,
Congratulations to our boys on being consolation champs!!
Quick message of thanks to all the families involved in making this past weekend a huge success for our athletes. The coaches genuinely appreciate the commitment of time and resources involved in allowing a tournament opportunity for our team - thank you again!
Great team building weekend!
Like always we learned a great deal from the tournament and will again look to target specific deficiencies we see in our team. Overall we are very happy with the progression of all players.
Areas that will be addressed in the coming weeks:
- Discipline and the correlating issues with penalties.
- Shooting.
- Shoot outs.
- Continue with our break out play which is beginning to work well in games.
In speaking with the coaches during and after the tournament - all are in agreement on several things in relation to our team. We have a great group of athletes that are being supported by an equally great group of parents. Your sons are a very enjoyable group for us to work with. They are a very respectful group of eager to learn hockey players - its a direct reflection of some great parenting by you folks which ultimately makes our jobs much easier - thank you for that!
