Novice REP Tryout #1 Sumarry and Results

I want to thank all of the kids and their parents who came out on Sunday to the Novice Rep tryout.  Everyone worked very hard and displayed all the improvements each of them have made over the course of last year and the summer, and it was great to see.  Undoubtedly there will be some difficult choices to made on my behalf.

Again, I want to thank everyone who came out, everyone worked very hard.

For the players who's name do not appear on this list, I want to wish you the best of luck in this upcoming season.  Keep working hard and keep building your skills and have fun!  Also, to the parents of the players who did not make it to Tryout #2, and who would like to know how I came to my decision regarding their child, please feel free to send me an email and I will be more than happy to explain what I feel their child needs to work on to be able to play REP hockey.

FOR ALL THE PLAYERS ON THE LIST IN THIS EMAIL:

Parents, please email me if your child is trying out for a specific position, or if your child (and you) will be happy playing on the REP team in any position that I place them in.  At this age, players do start to get comfortable playing certain positions, however, depending on the depth (talent level) in that particular position, it could determine whether or not your child makes the team if they are not willing to possibly play another position.

Side note: I grew up playing center my whole life until I went to the OHL, and then I became a winger, and occasionally played a little defense as well...I've learned that helps to be well rounded.

I am looking forward to seeing these 22 players on Wednesday as they compete for a spot on the Novice Rep team this year.  Best of luck to everyone!
