Hallowe'en night spooked the Lightning as they fell to the South Huron Sabres.
In a high action game, both teams played their best to end the first period in a tie. Scoring first, for South Kent, was Mack Anderson who zinged one by the goalie unassisted, but the Sabres were quick to bite back with the tie goal. The second and third periods were owned by the Sabres as they went on to score three more goals ending the game in a 4-1 win in their favour.
South Kent Lightning, U18, sponsored by Taco Bell, will face the Mooretown Jr. Flags on Friday then a week off. To date, the Lightning are 2-2-2 in the season.
