Beecroft Shines as SK Lightning U18 Gets Back on the Ice
South Kent Lightning U18 team gets back on the ice for the 2022-23 season with Exhibition Games
against Lambton Shores Predators on Sep 22nd & 26th
. Home ice proved to be favoured by both teams
as the Predators had a 4-3 narrow win in Forest while South Kent beat the Predators 5-3 in Blenheim.
Over the two games, Cory Beecroft scored four goals and assisted on four more. Others scoring for
South Kent were Ethan Gagnier (2 goals), Mack Anderson (1 goal, 2 assists); Kolby Caughy (1 goal, 1
assist), plus Cam Wellington and James Mifflin with 1 assist each.
Opening the 2022-23 official season play, South Kent faced off in Blenheim against Dresden Jr. Kings with an unfavourable loss of 2-0. Although it was a close game, the Lightning just couldn’t get it past the goalie, not for lack of trying. A great team effort by all.
