Power Plays were the downfall for SM Freight South Kent Lightning in a 6-1 loss to West Lorne Comets
From the first puck drop to the end of game whistle, the SM Freight South Kent Lightning Bantam LL2 played hard but were outskated by a strong West Lorne team.

Substitute goalie, Lucas Vidler, called up from Peewee Division for the game, held off a barrage of shots on net in spectacular fashion to hold the visiting team to just 6 goals. The boys were scoreless until the final twelve seconds of the second period when #3 Drew Zapotochny led a charge for the net and shot the puck in to put our boys on the scoreboard.  The boys came out stronger in the third period making more decisive passes to each other and taking more shots on net.  A big effort by everyone while having to deal with power plays by the visiting team but especially #4 Drew Rumble who was called up from the Peewee division and held his own in a tough Bantam game.  Next game sees our boys travel to Petrolia to take on the Oilers this Saturday at 6 pm.
