Lightning Strikes Twice
The South Kent Lightning Bantam Rep team have won two of their last three games, leaving them with a 2-2-2 record so far this season.

October 10th took them away to face Ilderton Jets and squeaked one in with a 2-1 win.  Early in the second period, Kolby Caughy scored the first goal in the game to put the Lightning on the board, with assists from Cam Wellington and Cory Beecroft but within three minutes, the Jets returned fire tying up the game.  Almost halfway through the third period, Quinn Pickering found an opening for the winning goal, with assistance from Wellington and Caughy.  Daniel Rodger was the winning goalie.

Friday, October 11th, the Lightning hosted South Huron Sabres at home in Ridgetown only be to blanked.  The players had several shots on net but just couldn't get past their goaltender.  South Huron won with a 4-0 game.

And finally, Tuesday, October 15th, South Kent hosted West Lorne Comets in Blenheim with a favourable result.  With no score in the first period, the players turned it up.  Halfway through the second, Trent Decook made a pass in front of the Comets' net to find Jamie Pynenbrouck waiting for the shot.  His first attempt wasn't successful but the rebound shot found the opening.  A few minutes later, their practice paid off again when Cory Beecroft made a great pass over to Mac Anderson who set up Kolby Caughy for the goal.  The Lightning blanked the Comets 2-0.  Daniel Rodger earned himself another shut out.

This next week, the SK Lightning, sponsored by Taco Bell, are playing St. Mary's Rock and Strathroy Rockets.
