Hockey season has begun for the South Kent Lightning Bantam Rep team, sponsored by Taco Bell.
The South Kent Lightning Bantam Reps have begun their season with mixed results. The team split the two exhibition games, with a 4-1 loss at home on Sept 14 against Mooretown Flags, followed by a win in Parkhill of 4-1 against the North Middlesex Stars on Sept 20. From the point, Trent DeCook got the only SK goal at home. Scoring in Parkhill, with a hat trick was Jamie Pynenbrouck followed by an unassisted goal from Brett Davidson. Assists go to Quinn Pickering, James Mifflin, Aiden Rigby and Cory Beecroft.
Their first regular season game, played in Ridgetown on Sep 27 didn't fare so well as Lambeth Lancers didn't allow any scoring, leaving the Lightning with their first loss of the regular season, 3-0 with the final goal being an empty-netter. This week they take on Dorchester Dragons in Dorchester and Mt. Brydges Cougars in Ridgetown.
