PeeWee LL1: Defeat in Dresden
Kimberley’s Boys in blue returned to the Dresden Arena to close
out the season series with the Dresden Maroon team.
The game was never really close as Dresden Maroon cruised to an 8-1 win. Maroon owned us in every aspect of the game. The lone Lightning goal of the game came from Greyson.
I really feel that the coaching staff has to take responsibility for this loss as the pre-game festivities may have taken a toll. We decided to integrate the hokey-pokey into our pre-game ritual. Many of us were dumbfounded to see how agile Trainer Mike was at putting his left leg in and taking his left leg out, not to mention how incredible it was to see him shake it all about. I really thought we would learn "what it's all about" after this team bonding exercise. Obviously, Jimmy Kennedy was full of bologna.
We will have a great opportunity to redeem ourselves in a game vs. LL3 on Monday night in Ridgetown. In an effort to conserve our energy and mental fortitude there will be no hokey-pokey this time around. Until then..
