Mooretown Mayhem with Kimberley's PeeWee Team 1
The Kimberley’s boys in blue took on the Mooretown Black in
the coastal hamlet of Mooretown. Our boys showed up for the game promptly at
3:30, unfortunately the puck dropped at 3:27.
Mooretown was able to score 3 real easy goals in the first 3 minutes of the game. While we had a ton of opportunities in the first we weren’t able to bury one until midway through the second. We scored 2 more goals late in the 2nd to pull us to within 1. Unfortunately, we gave up 2 unanswered 3rd period goals.
Lightning goals today went to Zach (2) and Colin (1). Assists went to Colin (2), Ryley K-mart™ and James.
The Pregame talk today had something to do with 3 ways to lose a person’s interest in 10 seconds. The source material came from the Failing New York Times best seller penned by Gregg Braden. Trainer Mike also took a few minutes to discuss the importance of punctuality. Especially when it comes to lectures he is giving. He was visibly upset when he realized that a player was late to his award nominated tax credit seminar presented last week (You know who you are!!). An audio book version will be made available on iTunes and Spotify late next year.
Next week Assistant Coach Jeff.. “the other Jeff, no! the other one!” Davies will be presenting the Pros and Cons of Tax Free Savings Accounts and RESPs. I fully expect it to be a riveting pregame talk. Our next game will be on Saturday Night at 7pm in our home barn.. the one in Blenheim vs. the West Lorne Comets. Until then…
