Novice Rep 1-1 this weekend
Novice Rep continued to show improvement this weekend going 1-1 in 2 games played.

Nolan Mallory was on fire this weekend scoring 9 goals and adding one assist to lead the Lightning offence. In Saturday's 7-1 win versus West Lorne, Mallory found the net 5 times while assisting on a goal by Brayden Lackie. Luke Holmes had the other goal. Goaltenders Lucas Eberle and Rowen Verbeek had a strong game as well with Sawyer Ferren having a great game on defence.
On Sunday the Lightning travelled to Exeter to face a strong South Huron Sabres team. South Kent held a 3-2 lead at the halfway point on a goal from Brighton Anderson and two from Mallory. The Sabres found another gear from that point on, while the Lightning seemed to run out energy. At the end of the second South Kent trailed 5-3. Mallory would score two more goals in the third but the Sabres would score 4 to win the game 9-5. Connor Watorek had a strong game on defence for South Kent.
The team has shown much improvement over the past 6 games, going 2-3-1 over that span. The boys have played as well as their opponents in all but three periods in those games. With a commitment to playing their best for the entire game the team should be able to get some more wins in the near future.
