Southkent Lightning Pull off a big win
The Southkent lightning Peewee's hosted West Lorne Monday night in Ridgetown.  The game featured some end to end action with both goalies making some big saves.  Evan White earned his first win of the season as the lightning held on for the 4-3 win.

The boys came out flying and controlled most of the play in the offensive zone, Jake Legue scored an unassisted goal on the first shift of the game.  The home team continued to press the play but could not solve the West Lorne keeper.  The visitors from down the highway tied it up late in the first but Southkent responded early in the second on a goal from Cash Palmateer, assisted by Dylan DeBrouwer and Jake Legue.  Unfortunately, West Lorne tied it once again less than 20 seconds later.  The lightning got into some penalty trouble as the boys were forced to kill a lengthily 5 on 3 midway through the second and they successfully did.  This penalty kill seemed to give the home team some energy as they continued to push and scored again late in the second, scoring his second of the game was Jake, assisted by Cash.  This line continued to produce as Cash scored his second early in the third, assisted by Jake.  With 6 minutes left in the third, West Lorne cut the lead to 4-3, the visitors continued to press but Southkent would not break, earning the 4-3 win.
Game puck went to Jesse Watson for his strong defensive play and the game stick went to Jake Legue for his scoring but more importantly, his strong passing and teamwork play.
Keep the momentum going boys and see what we can do!!
