The kids brought their game faces and their game this weekend. The kids won their first two games Friday night and sat morning by scores of 7-2 and 9-3.
The atom home run team was the visitors Friday night in Blenheim as they played the other Southkent team. This was a closer game than last time as this was a back and forth affair as both teams traded chances. Home run got on the board early in the first as they took a 3-0 lead into the second. They scored one more in the second before team orange got one back to make it 4-1. Home run responded with a great unassisted goal from Karys VanDeWiele off the face off. She took the puck and skated through the defenders, scoring 2 seconds after the face off. Home run scored 3 more in the third as team orange managed one.
Scoring for the home run team was Trent Smith (2), Laurel Johnston, Ethan McClenaghan, Dylan DeBrouwer, Karys and James Larsh. Collecting assists were Alex Faulkiner (2), James Larsh (2), Aiden Osbourne, Brennen Dodman, Ethan and Dylan. Evan White earned the win in net as Danielle Rodger took the loss but made many key saves. Scoring for team orange was Ryley Cammerant and Ty Oliphant. Earning assists was Ty and Turner Lessard.
